Springbok utility back Pat Lambie has been linked to Scottish club Edinburgh ahead of the 2018-19 Pro14 competition.
Lambie joined French club Racing 92 in September last year, but only managed to play 15 games for the Parisian side due to injury.
He was first ruled out with a recurring concussion, followed by an eye socket injury, before then suffering another setback when he ruptured knee ligaments three minutes into Racing’s Champions Cup final against Leinster in May.
According to the RugbyPass website, Lambie and his entourage were spotted in the Scottish capital over the weekend, which led to speculation that a possible switch from Racing to Edinburgh could be on the cards.
When asked for a comment, Edinburgh – who lost the services of three flyhalves during the off-season – refused to confirm or deny any interest in Lambie.
