Jesse Kriel has been ruled out of the Bulls' match against the Rebels at Loftus on Saturday because of concussion.
The forced change sees Jan Serfontein moving to outside centre, with Burger Odendaal coming in at 12. Dries Swanepoel will replace Odendaal on the bench.
Bulls coach Nollis Marais believes his side will bounce back from their 33-9 defeat to the Stormers at Newlands last weekend.
'We performed poorly in some areas of our game and paid the price. I am confident that we can turn that around and deliver a much better result in our first home match of the season,' Marais said.
'The Rebels will certainly not make it any easier for us. They showed against the Force last weekend that they can win tough matches away from home and play for 80 minutes. In fact, I think they are the favourites for this match.'
