The Vodacom Bulls have been boosted by the return to fitness of Springboks Jesse Kriel and Warrick Gelant ahead of their crucial clash against the Lions on Saturday.
Kriel has recovered from the ankle injury he sustained in the loss against the Stormers in April, while Gelant has been struggling with a hamstring issue.
The duo, along with wing Rosko Specman (hamstring), are fit and could come into the selection picture for Saturday’s derby in Pretoria.
There are, however, doubts over the availability of Schalk Brits and Marco van Staden after both players came off the field in the draw with the Highlanders with concussions.
Kriel will join training on Tuesday, while a call will be made on Brits and Van Staden later in the week.
