Siya Kolisi says it’s been a ‘rollercoaster experience’ after his wife Rachel tested positive for Covid-19, with the Bok skipper highlighting the importance of remembering the seriousness of the virus.
Kolisi was a late withdrawal from the WP team that claimed a 34-17 bonus-point win over Griquas at Newlands on Saturday with coach John Dobson confirming the captain’s absence was as a result of a ‘contact’ situation.
It has since been confirmed the source of the contact was Kolisi’s wife Rachel – who took to social media to confirm that she has tested positive for the virus.
In a recent social media post of his own, Kolisi said he had thankfully tested negative, but explained how challenging it had been for the family to isolate from Rachel.
