France coach Philippe Saint-André has sought an open discussion with Rory Kockott over his possible inclusion in the squad.
Saint-André has been open in his courting of the former Sharks scrumhalf, although Serge Blanco and Pierre Camou recently spoke about their reservations of selecting Kockott, who will become eligible to play for France in November.
After a poor June Test window, Saint-André is looking to build a squad capable of competing at the World Cup in England next year, and Kockott forms part of those plans.
The two will sit down for an informal interview before Saint-André selects a 30-man training group ahead of the end-of-year Tests against Fiji, Australia and Argentina.
Saint-André is looking for assurances over Kockott's commitment to France as well as the motivation behind his decision to pursue an international career with Les Bleus.
