Kings swap seven for Jaguares

Kings coach Deon Davids has made wholesale changes to his starting XV for Saturday's match against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires.

The coach wielded the axe with seven personnel and two positional changes following their 45-10 loss to the Lions.

In the pack, Edgar Marutlulle is back at hooker, Tom Botha starts at tighthead prop and JC Astle moves from the bench to replace the injured Schalk Oelofse at No 5 lock.

In an all-new halfback pairing, scrumhalf Ntando Kebe and flyhalf Elgar Watts replace James Hall and Louis Fouché. Stefan Watermeyer comes in for JP du Plessis, but the former starts at outside centre with Lukanyo Am moving to right wing, while Luzuko Vulindlu switches wings to fill the vacant left spot.

The only other swap sees Jaco van Tonder earn his first start at fullback in the absence of the injured Malcolm Jaer.

Kings – 15 Jaco van Tonder, 14 Lukhanyo Am, 13 Stefan Watermeyer, 12 Shane Gates, 11 Luzuko Vulindlu, 10 Elgar Watts, 9 Ntando Kebe, 8 CJ Velleman, 7 Thembelani Bholi, 6 Chris Cloete, 5 JC Astle, 4 Steven Sykes (c), 3 Tom Botha, 2 Edgar Marutlulle, 1 Schalk Ferreira.
Subs: 16 Martin Ferreira, 17 Justin Ackerman, 18 Jacobie Adriaanse, 19 Stefan Willemse, 20 Aidon Davis, 21 James Hall, 22 Louis Fouché, 23 Leighton Eksteen.
