Three players will not be available for the Kings' game against the Jaguares in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
Coach Deon Davids on Monday confirmed that hooker Martin Ferreira, wing Luzuko Vulindlu and flyhalf Elgar Watts have all been sidelined with injuries picked up in last Saturday’s match against the Sharks in Durban.
‘Martin has a dislocated rib and we don't see him coming back for the rest of the season,’ Davids said. ‘Luzuko has a hamstring tear that will require further scans to determine the extent of his injury, while Elgar has a foot tendon injury similar to Stefan Watermeyer that will see him out for at least two weeks.’
Flank Thembelani Bholi, who was stretchered off against the Sharks, has been cleared to play by medical staff after it was feared he suffered a concussion, while prop Sti Sithole, who had undergone a recent appendectomy, was sent home to recover.
