The EP Kings will field their third captain in as many weeks when they face Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday.
Coach Carlos Spencer has made two changes to the side that lost to the Sharks at the weekend. Last weekend's skipper Darron Nell remains a doubt for the match and has been bracketed on the bench with Steven Sykes. His place in the starting lineup is taken by Cameron Lindsay.
There's also an injury-enforced change in the back row, where Tim Agaba replaces Stefan Willemse, with Paul Schoeman moving from eighthman to flank.
The only change on the bench, besides Nell or Sykes, is the inclusion of George Whitehead.
Spencer has yet to make a decision on who will lead the team for a match that provides the Kings with their best opportunity to pick up a first win.
'Darron Nell is currently battling with a calf strain and will undergo fitness tests on Thursday, if he passes he will move to the bench, otherwise Steven Sykes will come onto the bench in his place,' he said. 'I still need to speak to a few of the guys about the role and will make the announcement on Thursday.'
