Chiefs No 9 Tawera Kerr-Barlow will be sidelined for five to six weeks with a hand injury.
He was injured in the match against the Hurricanes last weekend, when his hand collided with teammate Aaron Cruden’s head as they both attempted to tackle Hurricanes flyhalf Beauden Barrett.
Kerr-Barlow missed most of last year's Super Rugby season with a knee injury. Earlier this year, he suffered a concussion against the Jaguares which saw him miss matches against the Force and Brumbies.
