Blues flank Jerome Kaino will undergo knee surgery, but should be fit for the All Blacks' first Test against the British & Irish Lions.
Kaino suffered the injury during the Blues' loss to the Hurricanes.
The 34-year-old is expected to be out for between four to six weeks, and should therefore be fit for the first Test against the Lions at Eden Park on 24 June.
He could return for the All Blacks' yet-to-be-confirmed warm-up Test against Samoa in Auckland, which takes place a week before the first Test.
