The Junior Springboks turned in a much more polished performance to claim a 60-14 victory over Argentina U20 in Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
Dawie Theron had expressed concern about his team's lapses of concentration on defence after their opening 78-31 victory, and would've been pleased with the response from his players.
Poor discipline was partly to blame for Argentina's downfall, with the South Americans seeing two yellow cards in the first half. South Africa capitalised, running in four tries before half-time as they went in at the break with a commanding 22-0 lead.
It was more of the same in the second half with the fresh legs adding some impetus on attack, as they ran in six more tries to round off a comprehensive victory.
The third and final match will be played at City Park in Cape Town on Saturday, before they head off to New Zealand in a bid to reclaim the Junior World Championship which they last won in 2012.
