The Junior Springboks have named a 34-man squad to take part in a four-day training camp in Stellenbosch.

The squad includes three previously capped players – centre Rikus Pretorius, flyhalf David Coetzer and flank Phendulani Buthelezi. There were also recalls for David Kriel and Nkosikhona Masuku, who were involved in the Junior Boks warm-up games last season.

All five of them were part of the SA Rugby Academy squad that first got together early in February at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport (SAS).

Despite their inclusion, Buthelezi and hooker Fezokuhle Mbatha will continue with their Vodacom Super Rugby commitments for the Sharks.

The camp, which forms part of the SA Rugby Academy programme, will run from 1-18 April and feature three friendlies against Argentina, Georgia and a senior Namibian XV as part of the U20 International Series.

Junior Boks training squad – Thaakir Abrahams, Phendulani Buthelezi, David Coetzee, Caleb Dingaan, Vusile Dlepu, Kudzwai Dube, Celimpilo Gumede, Jaden Hendrikse, Francke Horn, Hanro Jacobs, Sebastian Jobb, Qamani Kota, David Kriel, Jaco Labuschagne, Elrigh Louw, Nkosikhona Masuku, Fezokuhle Mbatha, Thabiso Mdletshe, JJ van der Mescht, James Mollentze, Lunga Ncube, Jay Cee Nel, Sanele Nohamba, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Marnus Potgieter, Rikus Pretorius, Dylan Richardson, Evan Roos, Sibusiso Sangweni, Janko Swanepoel, Emile van Heerden, Joe van Zyl, Dameon Venter, Mnombo Zwelendaba.
