The Junior Boks have been drawn in Pool C for the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship together with hosts Georgia, France and Argentina.

The tournament will be hosted in Tbilisi and Kutaisi from 31 May to 18 June next year.

South Africa, who finished fourth in 2016, join the same group as France and Argentina for the second successive year after competing against them in Pool C this year.

The Junior Boks will kick off their campaign on 31 May against France, followed by a match against Georgia on 4 June before ending the pool stage in a tricky clash with Argentina on 8 June. Argentina beat the Junior Boks twice in 2016, in the group stage and third-place playoff.

Defending champions England have been drawn in the pool of death along with Australia, Wales and Samoa, who were promoted to the U20 Championship at the expense of Japan.

Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and Italy make up Pool B.
