England coach Eddie Jones has reportedly agreed to sign a new deal which will take him through to the 2023 World Cup in France.
Jones has been in negotiations for the last few months with the English RFU over a new contract after leading them to the 2019 World Cup final.
The Australian’s current deal expires in August 2021.
According to the BBC, a new contract has been agreed that will have Jones coach the side in the next World Cup. The announcement could be made as early as Thursday, the report stated.
Jones took over as England head coach from Stuart Lancaster after the team’s disappointing group stage exit at the 2015 World Cup, becoming the first host nation not to progress to the playoffs.
He took the team on a record-equalling, 18-game unbeaten run which included England’s first Grand Slam in 13 years and first win over the Springboks since 2006.
