Vodacom Bulls target Ashley Johnson has reportedly turned down a move to Pretoria to stay at English Premiership side Wasps.
The former Springbok loose forward – who has become a fan favourite in Coventry since moving to England in 2012 – was reported to have been targeted by Bulls director of rugby Jake White.
However, according to Sport24, the 33-year-old has turned down the opportunity to return to South Africa as he does not want to unsettle his family. Johnson still has a year left on his contract with Wasps but is being looked at for a potential role with English rugby’s governing body, the RFU, though it is not known what that role would be.
