Former Bok captain Jean de Villiers looks set to join the Leicester Tigers upon his recovery from a jaw fracture that ended his international career.

After announcing his retirement, De Villiers hinted that he would finish his professional career overseas, while revealing that he was considering a few options in England.

The veteran centre was linked to the Tigers earlier this year, but the deal fell through before the start of the World Cup.

However, the Rugby Paper has reported that the deal is back on and close to being completed, with the Tigers quite possibly set to announce their marquee signing before the weekend.
