Elton Jantjies and Lionel Mapoe have both signed one-year contract extensions with the Lions.
Several players have left the Lions following the conclusion of the Super Rugby season, but just recently, the franchise has been boosted by the news that a number of stalwarts will be remaining in Johannesburg.
Both Jantjies and Mapoe enjoyed solid seasons as the Lions qualified for their third successive Super Rugby final, and have been rewarded with call-ups to the Springboks.
Jantjies was linked with moves to both Ulster and Perpignan earlier in the year, but will stay with the Lions, for whom he made his Super Rugby debut in 2011.
