In a significant boost for the Lions, flyhalf Elton Jantjies has extended his contract with the Johannesburg-based franchise.
The union confirmed on Thursday that Jantjies penned a two-year deal which will have him remain at the Lions until the end of the 2021 season.
Jantjies was approached by overseas clubs, but confirmed to SARugbymag.co.za that he would prefer to stay at the Lions for the foreseeable future.
The 29-year-old is currently away on international duty with the Springboks.
