Jake White has welcomed a World Cup winner back to his match-day squad for Saturday’s game against the Stormers at the Cape Town Stadium.
Headlining the changes is the return of captain and Springbok No 8 Duane Vermeulen. He will resume the captaincy from fellow Bok Nizaam Carr, who drops to the bench.
In the only other change to the pack, Walt Steenkamp earns a start in the No 4 jersey in place of the benched Janko Swanepoel.
In a few alterations to the backline, James Verity-Amm and Chris Smith make way for David Kriel and Morne Steyn, respectively.
‘Last week certainly proved how vital it is that we continue getting as much competitive rugby under our belts,’ said White. ‘The players need little motivation for another brutal North-South derby and we are definitely up for the challenge against a solid Stormers outfit.’
