Coach Andy Farrell has made two injury-enforced changes to Ireland’s starting lineup for Saturday’s crucial match against Wales in Dublin.
Farrell has had to reshuffle his back row after losing Caelan Doris to injury. Peter O’Mahony comes into the loose trio, but his selection at blindside flank means CJ Stander shifts to No 8.
The other change comes in the backline, where outside centre Robbie Henshaw has been brought in to partner Bundee Aki in the absence of Garry Ringrose, who picked up a hand injury.
Max Deegan has been included on the bench and will make his Test debut if he comes on, while veteran Keith Earls joins the match 23 following Henshaw’s elevation to the run-on XV.
Ireland – 15 Jordan Larmour, 14 Andrew Conway, 13 Robbie Henshaw, 12 Bundee Aki, 11 Jacob Stockdale, 10 Jonathan Sexton (c), 9 Conor Murray, 8 CJ Stander, 7 Josh van der Flier, 6 Peter O’Mahony, 5 James Ryan, 4 Iain Henderson, 3 Tadhg Furlong, 2 Rob Herring, 1 Cain Healy.
Subs: 16 Ronan Kelleher, 17 Dave Kilcoyne, 18 Andrew Porter, 19 Devin Toner, 20 Max Deegan, 21 John Cooney, 22 Ross Byrne, 23 Keith Earls.
