Injury setback for Milner-Skudder

Hurricanes utility back Nehe Milner-Skudder has been ruled out of action for at least six weeks with a foot injury.

Milner-Skudder only returned to the field of play two weeks ago against the Rebels after a lengthy injury layoff in 2016 and he scored a hat-trick in that match. But in his second game back against the Chiefs on Friday, he fell awkwardly with scans later revealing a break in his right foot.

The Hurricanes have confirmed Milner-Skudder will not require surgery, but that he would be sidelined until late April.

The 26-year-old will then only have a couple of Super Rugby matches before the All Blacks select their squad for the Test series against the British & Irish Lions in June.

Meanwhile four other All Blacks Israel Dagg, Seta Tamanivula (both Crusaders), Waisake Naholo and Lima Sopoaga (both Highlanders) sustained injuries in round three of Super Rugby.
