There are further woes for the EP Kings after Cameron Lindsay, Ronnie Cook and JP du Plessis all picked up injuries against the Golden Lions at the weekend.
The Kings suffered a fifth successive loss of the season on Saturday, with coach Brent Janse van Rensburg having made a host of changes to the team in a week where there were recurring issues over the non-payment of player salaries.
Lindsay will have to see a specialist on Wednesday after suffering a knee injury, while Cook is set to undergo X-rays for an injured toe and Du Plessis being closely monitored due to a soft-tissue knee injury.
Lock Steven Sykes is also under observation after picking up a rib injury last week, while David Bulbring, Gary van Aswegen and George Whitehead remain on the sidelines with serious injuries.
Regular captain Luke Watson, who was a notable omission from the lineup that faced the Lions, was not mentioned in the medical report, and no reason was given for his absence.
