Beauden Barrett has pulled out of the Hurricanes’ match against the Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday with an injury.
Barrett was originally named at flyhalf for the Hurricanes, but withdrew hours before kick-off.
James Marshall will move to No 10 from fullback, with Jordie Barrett taking over in the back three, while Peter Umaga-Jensen comes into the team at centre.
The Hurricanes need one point to secure a home playoff.
