Cory Jane comes in on the wing in one of four changes to the Hurricanes side to face the Highlanders on Friday.
Jane was rested for the win over the Blues in Palmerston North as part of All Blacks' compulsory World Cup year rest weeks, but will return in place of Matt Proctor, who drops out of the match-day squad.
The Hurricanes will also welcome back lock Jeremy Thrush into the starting lineup, where he will make his first start of the season alongside Blade Thompson in an all-new second row.
There is one further change to the pack, after Dane Coles hyper-extended his elbow during a training session. He will be replaced by Motu Matu'u, with Brayden Mitchell coming onto the bench.
