Jaden Hendrikse has recovered from injury and will take his place on the bench in the Sharks’ clash with the Lions in Durban on Saturday.
Sharks coach Sean Everitt has named an unchanged starting lineup from the team’s opening Rainbow Cup SA victory over the Stormers this past weekend.
There are two changes on the bench, with Le Roux Roets replacing young lock JJ van Mescht and Hendrikse having recovered from his niggle being named as the reserve scrumhalf, taking Sanele Nohamba’s place.
Continuity in team selection is gold for coaches and Cell C Sharks head coach Sean Everitt will be thrilled to be able to name an unchanged starting XV to host the Emirates Lions this weekend.

‘Our preparation is important because we’re a performance-driven side, we aren’t results-driven,’ explained loose forward Sikhumbuzo Notshe. ‘We know that if we get our performance right, the results will follow.
‘I think both sides will look to lift the tempo and play a high-paced game. We’ll match them if they go that route and they’ll look to do the same. Decision-making will be important and making sure we stick to our plan.’
