Springbok winger Cornal Hendricks is suffering from a serious heart condition that threatens to jeopardise his rugby career.
According to Netwerk24.com, the condition was first diagnosed when Hendricks joined up with the Springbok Sevens squad towards the end of last year.
Hendricks, who was set to play for the Stormers in Super Rugby this year, is consulting various medical specialists before making a decision about his future.
The 27-year-old has featured in 12 Tests for the Springboks, while he has also been a star performer for the Blitzboks and Cheetahs. Hendricks signed a two-year deal with the Stormers last July.
