Grobler heading to France

Former Stormers and Western Province lock Gerbrandt Grobler will join Racing 92 on a three-year deal, while Johan Goosen has extended his contract at the French club.

Grobler tested positive for a banned substance and was handed a two-year ban at the beginning of 2015, but he is now set to make his return to rugby.

The 24-year-old will link up with the Top 14 champions ahead of the 2016-17 season, and will be available to play again in October.

Racing 92 also confirmed that Goosen had extended his stay until 2020, while former veteran All Blacks lock Ali Williams will join the club on a short-term deal to provide extra second-row cover until Grobler is available.
