Griquas scored seven tries to beat the Eastern Province Kings 45-25 in Kimberley on Saturday.
Marnus Schoeman and Hugo Kloppers both grabbed a brace as Griquas, who led 14-13 at the break, ran rampant in the second half.
The five log points takes Griquas to within three of the Pumas with one round remaining. Griquas will travel to Pretoria to face the Blue Bulls next weekend with the Pumas taking on the EP Kings in PE.
Only the Pumas and Griquas can be relegated from the Premier Division.
