Peter Grant has joined up with the Stormers in New Zealand after his club Kobe Kobelco Steelers were knocked out of the All-Japan Championship.

It's highly unlikely, though, that Grant will be rushed back into the team for the match against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday, especially after Demetri Catrakilis's match-winning goal-kicking performance against the Hurricanes. However, he could have a part to play later in a tour that also includes games against the Chiefs, Brumbies and Reds.

In some bad news for the Stormers, Argentinian lock Manuel Carizza suffered a wrist injury during the match against the Hurricanes and will be out of action for eight weeks.
