Golden Lions tweak lineup

The Golden Lions have made six changes to their starting XV ahead of Saturday’s Currie Cup match against Griquas in Johannesburg.

In the backline, fullback Jaco van der Walt, centre Jacques Nel and wing Anthony Volmink all slot straight into the run-on team after overcoming injury. The trio’s inclusion comes at the expense of Ashlon Davids, Stokkies Hanekom and Aphiwe Dyantyi.

Scrumhalf Marco Janse van Vuren has been ruled out with an injury he sustained in round one against the Pumas and his place in the team is taken by Dillon Smit.

In the two changes to the pack, flank Robert Kruger replaces Jano Venter and tighthead prop Justin Ackerman earns a starting berth ahead of Andrew Beerwinkel.
