Wallabies centurion Matt Giteau has become the latest high-profile name to join the USA’s Major League after signing for the Los Angeles Giltinis.
The three-time World Cup star and 103-Test icon joins the team following his final season in Japan with Suntory Sungoliath, as well as a campaign in his native Canberra with Gungahlin Eagles.

Giteau will be joined at the Los Angeles club by fellow Wallabies back Adam Ashley-Cooper, while lock Dave Dennis and centre Billy Meakes are also at the club.

The Giltinis, who also have South African props JP and Ruan Smith on their roster, will be making their debut in the 2021 Major League Rugby season, which gets under way on 20 March.
High-profile South Africans involved in the competition include former Lions hooker Robbie Coetzee (Austin Gilgronis), former Sharks captain Tera Mtembu (New England Free Jacks), former Blitzbok star Cecil Afrika and former Stormers fullback Joe Pietersen (both San Diego Legion).
