Former Springbok Danie Gerber and his daughter Elanie have both tested negative for the coronavirus after they were diagnosed with the disease in March.
Gerber contracted the deadly virus after shortly after attending a golf day along with several other former Springboks.
Because he had been in contact with his daughter and wife, the two women were also tested. Elanie tested positive, while Gerber’s wife Elsabe initially tested negative. But Elsabe had since returned a positive test.
Elanie has since confirmed she and her father overcame the illness and are fully recovered, but her mother is still in self-isolation.
