Frans Steyn will start at inside centre for the Barbarians against England at Twickenham on Sunday.
Steyn, who was this week recalled to the Springbok squad, is the only South African in the Baa-Baas XV, with Schalk Brits, WP Nel (who now plays for Scotland) and Ruan Pienaar on the bench.
The Barbarians are facing England for the 16th time – England lead the series 8-7 – before taking on Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast on 1 June.
