Coach Jacques Brunel has called up Virimi Vakatawa to replace the injured Geoffrey Doumayrou in France’s World Cup squad.
Doumayrou was named in Les Bleus’ 31-man squad for the showpiece starting in Japan next month, but the 29-year-old has since been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an achilles injury in training.
The Fijian-born Vakatawa has earned 17 Tests for France, the last of which came in February 2018.
