Four debutants in Junior Boks team

Angelo Davids is among the four players who will make their debuts for the Junior Springboks in their U20 Championship opener against Scotland on Tuesday.

Tuks fullback Vaughen Isaacs, Blitzboks youngster Davids and loosehead prop Dian Bleuler will all make their first starts for the team, while replacement prop Keagan Glade is also set to earn his first cap if he takes to the field.

Junior Springbok coach Chean Roux named a settled squad for the clash, featuring a number of tried and tested combinations.

Captain Phendulani Buthelezi forms a loose trio with deputy and No 8 Francke Horn and openside flank Jaco Labuschagne, while Emile van Heerden and JJ van der Mescht form a strong second-row combination.

Jaden Hendrikse starts at scrumhalf, while James Mollentze has been preferred at flyhalf with David Coetzer on the bench.

Vice-captain Rickus Pretorius is in midfield alongside Marnus Potgieter. Isaacs, Davids and Caleb Dingaan form a speedy back three.

Subs: 16 Dameon Venter, 17 Kudzwai Dube, 18 Keagan Glade, 19 Thabiso Mdletshe, 20 Elrigh Louw, 21 Dylan Richardson, 22 David Kriel, 23 Sanele Nohamba, 24 Celimpilo Gumede, 25 David Coetzer, 26 Zwelendaba Mnombo, 27 Sibusiso Sangweni, 28 Thaakir Abrahams.
