Brynard Stander will make his first start of the season for the Force against the Hurricanes in Perth on Friday.
The tearaway flank replaces the injured Chris Alcock in the starting XV in one of four changes to the side that went down to the Reds last time out.
Elsewhere in the pack, Pek Cowan will make his return at loosehead after being carried from the field during the victory over the Waratahs, while lock Steve Mafi will replace the injured Adam Coleman in the second row.
The only change among the backs sees Zack Holmes shifting from fullback to flyhalf, with Sias Ebersohn making way and Luke Burton slotting into the last line of defence.
