Fullback Israel Folau has been handed a one-match suspension for his aerial challenge during the Wallabies’ 20-16 loss to Ireland in the third Test last Saturday.
Folau was sent to the sin bin during the first half of the Test after appearing to make contact with Ireland captain Peter O’Mahony in the air.
A World Rugby judicial committee handed down the suspension, which means Folau will miss the Waratahs’ Super Rugby clash with the Rebels this Saturday, despite being named in their starting XV.
Both Folau and Rugby Australia are set to appeal the result.
