Jacques Faul has informed the Blue Bulls Company that he will not be applying for the vacant CEO position.
Faul and former Varsity Sports CEO Duitser Bosman were believed to be the front-runners to replace the outgoing Barend van Graan as Bulls CEO.
But Faul confirmed on Monday that he remains committed to his role as Titans CEO.
‘I have no plans to leave the Titans, despite speculation suggesting this. I am happy at the Titans and excited about what we are trying to do as a brand and as an internationally recognised cricket franchise,’ he said.
‘I have a very strong relationship with Barend van Graan and our two sporting bodies share the same kinship. We have even engaged in a partnership, which is something that we hope to grow, and get even closer.
‘There is no doubt that we share many fans across our city, because rugby and cricket have always gone hand in hand in our culture. The road from Loftus to SuperSport Park is a short and memorable one, and long may that brotherhood continue,’ he added.
In 2016, Faul also turned down the opportunity to become the Sharks’ CEO.
