Wales No 8 Taulupe Faletau is set to miss the entire Six Nations campaign after breaking his arm in a Champions Cup match on Saturday.
Faletau suffered the injury while playing his first game back for Bath since fracturing his arm last year. The injury is understood to be a new break and not a recurrence of the old fracture.
The 28-year-old is expected to be out for eight weeks, meaning he will miss the Six Nations which runs from 1 February to 16 March.
Wales coach Warren Gatland will name his squad for the campaign on Tuesday. Wales’ opening game is against France in Paris.
