Loose forward Uzair Cassiem has been handed a two-week suspension for foul play during the Scarlets’ 54-14 win over the Kings last Saturday.
Cassiem was found guilty of contravening Law 9.12. – A player must not physically or verbally abuse anyone. Physical abuse includes, but is not limited to, biting, punching, contact with the eye or eye area, striking with any part of the arm (including stiff-arm tackles), shoulder, head or knee(s), stamping, trampling, tripping or kicking.
The incident occurred in the 62nd minute of the game, three minutes after Cassiem came on as a replacement, when he made contact to the eye area of a Kings player.
The ban means the 28-year-old will miss the Scarlets’ Welsh derby at home against the Ospreys and their opening European Champions Cup game against Racing 92 a week later.
