An SA Rugby spokesperson has confirmed that Rassie Erasmus’ Twitter account is the official handle of the director of rugby.
In his first post on a newly-created account, Erasmus appeared to pour cold water on reports that had linked him to the England top job on Sunday.
Along with an inspirational video from the World Cup final posted on Erasmus’ Twitter account @RassieRugby, he stated: ‘Not sure I would know what to say to any other team before a World Cup Final. Not Happening!!!’

His post was retweeted by Bok skipper Siya Kolisi and new head coach Jacques Nienaber.
While there were initially some concerns on social media that it could be a fake or parody account, SA Rugby magazine has received confirmation that it is Erasmus’ official personal account.
