England have moved up to third in the World Rugby rankings, while the Springboks have dropped back to fifth.
England’s dominant 57-15 win over bitter rivals Ireland earned them a 1.34 rating-points increase, from 86.79 to 88.13, enough to see them move ahead of their victims and the Springboks.
Ireland were docked 1.33 and drop from third to fourth, with South Africa slipping down to fifth without losing any points.
Meanwhile, Scotland’s stirring 17-14 victory over France was enough to displace their victims in seventh spot in the rankings. France are now back to eighth.
