Griquas coach Peter Engledow will succeed Sean Erasmus as Paarl Boys’ High’s 1st XV coach.
The school confirmed to SARugbymag.co.za on Thursday that Engledow will take over from Erasmus, who ended a five-year stint to join the Lions.
Having started coaching at Table View High School, Engledow moved to England, where he spent over a decade as a development officer with the RFU, while also coaching St Joseph’s College in Ipswich.
Engledow returned to South Africa in 2013 and took up a role as Griquas’ Vodacom Cup head coach and assisted Hawies Fourie during the Currie Cup.
Following Fourie’s departure to Maties, Engledow took over as head coach of the Rugby Challenge and Currie Cup teams, guiding the side to the final this year, which they lost to the Pumas.
