Former Cheetahs head coach Rory Duncan has turned down an approach from the Kings in favour of a move to Japan with the Red Hurricanes.
Duncan was targeted by the Kings to become their new head coach after it was reported that the Port Elizabeth franchise made him a eyewatering R2 million offer – despite their recent financial woes.

However, it was confirmed on Saturday that Duncan – who most recently coached the Worcester Warriors – had decided to take up a role with Japanese Top League side Red Hurricanes instead.
The Red Hurricanes had recently appointed former Lions and Gloucester coach Johan Ackermann as their new head coach, while they have also recruited Neil de Bruin – who cancelled his contract as Lions assistant coach.
