Springboks Pieter-Steph du Toit and Steven Kitshoff have reportedly decided to stay with the Stormers after being linked with overseas clubs.
According to Rapport newspaper, the duo’s decision was influenced by WP Rugby’s proactive choice to confirm the appointment of John Dobson as the Stormers coach for 2020.
Kitshoff was expected to move to the Sale Sharks in Manchester, where he would join flyhalf Robert du Preez, scrumhalf Faf de Klerk, centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg and the Du Preez twins as part of their South African contingent.
The 27-year-old loosehead prop was reportedly on the verge of signing for the Premiership side before WP Rugby got financial assistance from another party and SA Rugby to fund his new contract.
The Stormers have also managed to keep Bok tighthead Frans Malherbe in the Cape.
