Coach Deon Davids could leave the Kings as soon as a mutual agreement between him and the franchise’s owners can be reached.
Davids has been in charge of the Kings since 2016. His side managed to two victories and a draw in the current Pro14 season, which is an improvement on their previous campaign.
But it is believed that the Kings’ new owners are not satisfied with his performance and want to get rid of Davids as early as this coming week.
It is rumoured that there is friction between Davids and other in the Kings’ new setup. Davids has recently been linked with the Vodacom Bulls and Cheetahs, while he was also previously talked up as a potential Springbok coach.
