The return of captain Ross Cronjé is one of three changes to the Lions’ starting lineup for their clash against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.
Cronjé is one of the Springbok players who were released for Currie Cup duty, and Lions coach Ivan van Rooyen has fast-tracked the scrumhalf into the run-on XV. Dillon Smit falls out of the match-day squad.
The two other changes come in the front row, where prop Johannes Jonker and hooker Pieter Jansen replace Jacobie Adriaanse and Corné Fourie respectively.
