Blue Bulls scrumhalf Embrose Papier was named U18 Craven Week Hero of the Day for his try in his team's 40-12 victory over Boland in Stellenbosch.
The scrumhalf was credited for breaking down the Boland resistance as he started and ended a spectacular try in the 30th minute of the game.
The encounter was still in the balance with the Bulls leading 8-7 after 29 minutes when Papier picked up the ball inside his own half.
The scrumhalf shrugged off two tackles before running over Boland right wing Keenan Boonzaier. The move then continued, with Papier having a hand in it multiple times before finishing it off by crossing the whitewash.
The try was the catalyst for a dominant Blue Bulls performance against a Boland side that showed impressive grit and determination to overcome Border 20-15 two days earlier, and ensured a positive ending to the Pretoria boys' U18 Craven Week.
'We had to work hard after losing to Western Province on the first day.' Papier told SARugbymag.co.za, 'We had a responsibility to lift our name after that, and today we played well to make sure it happened.
'It was a great memory for me personally to score that try, and it will live with me forever, but credit must go to my teammates without whom none of it would have been possible.'
