Stade Francais have cancelled all training as their playing squad and coaching staff have headed into isolation after 25 people tested positive for Covid-19.

The Top 14 league in France was due to start on the first weekend of September, with Stade Francais scheduled to play the Bordeaux Begles on 4 September.

However, with Covid-19 transmission levels rising in France, it remains to be seen whether these plans might be scuppered.

There are also three French teams set to feature in the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup, on 19 and 20 September, but these fixtures could possibly come into doubt now.
