Wallabies flyhalf Quade Cooper is set to make his Australia Sevens debut in Las Vegas next weekend.
The 27-year-old pivot has made 58 appearances for Australia in the 15-man game since his debut in 2008.
‘We're delighted to welcome Quade into the fold for Las Vegas,’ said Australia Sevens coach Andy Friend. ‘Having had a few training sessions with the squad earlier this month, not forgetting the sessions we’ll have in the week leading up to the tournament in Las Vegas, we'll be in a much better position to utilise his skill-set. Likewise, Quade will have had time to understand our team structures and patterns of play.’
Australia have been drawn in Pool B with Scotland, Japan and England.
